SoMuchLosing is a weekly scoreboard of losing. Each edition counts down the week's top hits — three to ten of the most satisfying setbacks, reversals, and self-inflicted wounds going.

A fresh one lands once a week. Every item is a self-contained little story: a headline, the facts, and a punchline to land it.

Yes — a machine writes this. Every week a bot rakes through the wreckage and drafts the copy; no bleary human is deciding whose bad week leads. But a bot with a search bar is still just reading you the record. Every claim links straight to a primary source — the court filing, the roll-call vote, the poll itself — so you can check our work, or forward the receipt to someone who won't believe you. Nothing here is invented for the punchline. The machine doesn't make things up; it just can't resist a good one. And if a claim can't be sourced, it doesn't run.

That's the whole idea: a standing invitation to feel a little better about the news for five minutes a week. Come back next week. There will be more.
